Interim Executive Director - Danielle Riviere

With more than 16 years experience working in the nonprofit sector, Danielle Riviere's passion for helping to create a better Bermuda led her to pursue a career in the nonprofit sector. A graduate of Florida A & M University with a Degree in Elementary Education, Danielle returns to The Centre on Philanthropy as Interim Executive Director.  In 2013, Danielle left The Centre to pursue a new opportunity as an independent consultant partnering with her sister under their company OD Solutions.  Danielle worked as The Centre's Programme Manager for 7 years and is excited to be back to work with the organisation as it reviews its services and programmes and looks to hire a new Executive Director.

Community Engagement Coordinator - Shirlene White

Shirlene White was educated at The Berkeley Institute and The Bermuda College. She worked in International Business for 20 plus years, before going to work for PRIDE Bermuda, her first Non-profit organization.  This is where she found that she had more to offer than crunching numbers.  She enjoys working in the Non-profit arena and finds the work very rewarding. Shirlene returned to The Centre on Philanthropy in April 2017, after briefly working in the Private Sector.  

Shirlene enjoys helping others and lives by the quote: “Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance”.  She has 3 children and 2 grandchildren.

Training and Education Coordinator - Samantha Nearon

Samantha Nearon is a graduate of public relations from Marist College, Poughkeepsie, New York.

She was born in Hamilton, Bermuda. Spent the entirety of her childhood leading into adulthood in Washington, DC. She spent her summer's working at The Royal Gazette as a Lifestyle Reporter and volunteered at The Centre on Philanthropy. Samantha gained experience as a social media intern for the Center of Civic Engagement and Leadership at Marist College.

Samantha is the Training and Education Coordinator at The Centre on Philanthropy team. She concentrates on the marketing and coordination of educational programmes and supports the Members' help desk.
