2011 Third Sector Conference

"Changing Our World"
February 25 & 26, 2011
The Fairmont Hamilton Princess

The Centre on Philanthropy’s third biennial Third Sector Conference was themed 'Changing our World’. It challenged participants to embrace and celebrate the opportunities that change provides and rejoice in the progress born from change.
The conference examined the idea that “Changing our World” is a both a personal and organisational task that requires cooperation and collaboration amongst those already working in the Third Sector to create a better community, a better Bermuda, a better world.

Over 175 people participated in the two day event. They included nonprofit staff, board members, volunteers, corporate donors, members of faith-based organisations and individual philanthropists.

Twenty-three speakers from the US, UK, Canada and Bermuda facilitated 25 workshops on all areas of the nonprofit world from fundraising and capacity building to social media and skills-based volunteering.
